Can Non-Fat Sorbet really replace Premium Ice Cream?

Sorbet is made out of water, fruit juice or fruit purée such as mango and raspberry and sugar. Chocoholics will find plenty of satisfying options as well. Although most sorbets are fat-free, don't have the wrong idea that this means you can consume as much as you want without suffering any consequences.

Sorbets do not have any fat but they still have high sugar content. This can really end up as fat in the body. Many brands of sorbet actually have more calories than regular ice cream, which tend to rely less on sugar for flavor. The same holds true for reduced-fat and low-fat brands. Ice cream has more fat, but light versions and sorbets have more sugar that can really shoot up your blood sugar level!
